Straw Targets
The arrow stops (or arrow bosses) used in archery are mostly made of foam (polifoam) and straw. Each type has a lifespan of several thousand shots, but their durability naturally depends on the draw weight of the bow and the distance from which they are shot.
Foam arrow stops are lighter and withstand environmental effects better, whereas straw arrow stops are made from organic material and must be protected from moisture. It is advisable to secure them, as the arrows already embedded in them may break if the stop tips over.
